The Ground Decides Which Tool Goes On: VOER 4WD140 Snow Sweeper

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SNOW SWEEPER  ·  4WD140  ·  GROUND FIRST

VISIBLE PRODUCT STRUCTURE

Roller brush

1,400 mm working width, up to 20 cm of snow per pass, ±25° angling

Snow thrower

1,200 mm × 600 mm head, snow depth up to 60 cm

Push blade

1,500 mm × 400 mm mouldboard

Salt and sand spreader

0.3 m³ hopper

The four tools mount on one chassis, and each one is listed in the published specification for this machine.

The ground decides which tool goes on

Four tools share one chassis. Which one is on the front is settled by what lies under the snow, not by which tool the operator prefers.

01  Paved aprons and loading areas

Roller brush. On asphalt and concrete the brush lifts the snow without cutting into the surface, and clears up to 20 cm in a single pass. Deeper snow is worked in layers. Angling the brush up to 25 degrees throws the material to one side rather than leaving a ridge behind the machine.

02  Interlocking pavers and block paving

Roller brush again, and this is the choice that is least obvious. A steel edge on block paving catches on lifted corners. Where a paver already rocks, the blade can lift it out and leave a gap that fills with meltwater and refreezes. The brush rides over that surface instead, and the surface stays where it was laid.

03  Unmade ground, gravel yards and working sites

Snow thrower. A brush on loose ground picks up grit along with the snow, and a blade cannot follow a surface that is not flat: it rides over the low spots and digs into the high ones. The thrower takes the material up in front of the machine and puts it where it is aimed, across depths of up to 60 cm, which is more than either of the other two tools will take in one movement.

The three tools kept on the chassis for surface work: roller brush, snow thrower and push blade.

04  Footpaths, forecourts and shared lanes

Brush first, spreader last, and never the other way round. De-icer laid on top of snow is carried off with the snow when the surface is finally cleared, so the material is paid for twice and the surface is left bare again.

05  Why the order matters more than the tool

Four tools do not make one pass faster. They change how many passes the site needs. Sweep the surface, throw the deep material, blade the drifts, and spread last of all. Any tool used out of that order leaves work behind that has to be done again, which is the one cost a winter budget never carries.

Why you may consider it

If a site mixes paved aprons, block paving and unmade ground, one chassis carrying four tools removes the question of which machine to send. If every surface on site is smooth asphalt and the snow is shallow, a single-purpose machine will do the same work, and the tools that are never fitted will sit in the yard.

Evaluate the complete specification

Working widths, angling range, clearing depths and hopper capacity are listed in the published specification for this machine.

Operating notes

● Stop the machine before clearing anything from the brush or the thrower.

● Keep all guards fitted while the tools are running.

● Wear eye and hearing protection and stay clear of the discharge side.
